Summer Camp 2008

What is your child doing this summer that is exciting, fun-filled, and will help them deliver their next book report?

Acting Up CDA is designed to help kids develop Social Presence – the confidence required to get up in front of people (the #1 fear today). Kids ages 5 – 12 have a blast during these 2 week sessions through the use of theatrical elements, culminating in a presentation/ demonstration on the last day of the session. Daily snacks, camp T-shirt and last day celebration Pizza Party are included.

Cost is only $325 for each 2 week session. Times will be from 9am – 3pm M-F. Each session will have a different Theme, so students can attend one, two, or all three! (Child care will be available before (7am - 9am) and after (3pm - 6pm) summer sessions for $5.00 per hour.)

Session 1
Pirates and Princesses
June 16^th – 27^th

Students will take on fun personalities while learning vocal projection, stage combat, improvisation,
regal stature (presence), pantomime, some stage makeup, and many other fun activities.

Session 2
Mermaids and Monsters
July 7^th – 18^th

Fun in the Ocean! Take on “Under the Sea” personalities (like Ariel , Ursula and the Loch Ness Monster)
while developing characters, moving to ocean rhythms, working on clear diction, pantomime,
improvisation, storytelling and more.

Session 3
Magic and Mayhem
July 28^th – August 8^th

Abracadabra! Students will have fun while learning all things magical!
From turning each other into frogs, to doing a magic show, students will see
that life can be magic with a little imagination. Students will incorporate movement,
pantomime, improvisation, speech, and other “tricks”.
